Description

SAIC is looking for a Junior Network Engineer to support our US Navy customer provide engineering and technical support for the CND Deployer Toolkit (CDT) and Defensive Cyber Operations Infrastructure (DCOI). This position is located at NAVWAR Old Town Campus in San Diego, CA and will require up to 50% of CONUS and OCONUS travel.

REQUIRED TO ME LOCAL TO SAN DIEGO, CA.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Conduct installation, modification, repair, operation, and removal of network systems equipment.
  • Provide hardware assembly, setup, configuration, integration, troubleshooting, and network connectivity support.
  • Perform layer one site surveys. 
  • Assist with onsite support for setup, configuration, troubleshooting, and network connectivity as required for server racks, servers, storage, Ethernet and transport cabling, and workstation and network equipment.
  • Support production integration,   system engineering, design and architecture, and self-service technology development. 
  • Modify, implement, and integrate solution sets with appropriate DCO enclave technologies, conduct interoperability testing, and provide technical input for deficiency correction and production process improvements.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

Experience and Education: 

  • Bachelors Degree; years of experience in lieu of degree to be taken into consideration.
  • Fiber optic network cabling installations. 
  • Familiarity with LINUX and RHEL.
  • Layer 1 Site Survey support.
  • Able to lift/push/pull/carry up to 50 pounds.
     

Clearance:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must have an ACTIVE Secret clearance to start.

Certification:

  • IAT Level II: Security+ and Network+.

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
