Job description

The Point Casino & Hotel is seeking a dependable and technically skilled IT Technician to join our Information Technology team. In this role, you will provide hands-on technical support across a fast-paced, 24/7 gaming and hospitality environment.

From gaming systems and point-of-sale technology to computers, networks, security systems, and audio-visual equipment, you will help keep the technology behind our operations running reliably and efficiently.

Position Overview

The IT Technician provides technical support, troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and general IT assistance throughout the property. This position works closely with IT team members, department leaders, employees, and outside vendors to resolve technical issues and maintain reliable technology systems.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, learning new technology, working with people, and solving problems in a dynamic environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Support & Troubleshooting
  • Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, network, and system-related issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical problems in a timely and professional manner.
  • Troubleshoot computers, printers, peripherals, network connectivity, software applications, and other technology equipment.
  • Respond to service requests and prioritize issues based on operational needs.
  • Provide support throughout the property, including gaming, hotel, food and beverage, administration, and other departments.
Installation & Maintenance
  • Install, configure, maintain, and replace computers, peripherals, software, and other IT equipment.
  • Assist with network infrastructure, audio-visual equipment, and other technology systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance and system checks to help prevent equipment failures and downtime.
  • Assist with technology upgrades, deployments, and other IT projects.
  • Maintain accurate equipment inventory and documentation.
Gaming & Regulatory Technology
  • Support technology systems within a regulated gaming environment.
  • Follow established security, compliance, and operational procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive company and guest information.
  • Assist in ensuring technology systems meet applicable Port Gamble S'Klallam Gaming Enterprise requirements and gaming regulations.
Customer Service & Teamwork
  • Provide professional and responsive service to employees and internal departments.
  • Explain technical issues and solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical users.
  • Work collaboratively with IT team members, department leaders, vendors, and service providers.
  • Maintain a positive, solutions-focused approach when responding to technical issues.
  • Communicate system issues, outages, and resolutions appropriately.
QualificationsRequired
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of computer operations or technical experience, technical school certification, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of computer hardware, software, and basic networking concepts.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability and willingness to learn new technologies and systems.
Preferred
  • Experience providing technical support in a business or enterprise environment.
  • Experience with network troubleshooting and connectivity issues.
  • Experience supporting Windows-based computers and common business applications.
  • Experience working in a 24/7, hospitality, gaming, or other mission-critical environment.
Requirements
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and other shifts as required by a 24/7 operation.
  • Must maintain reliable and dependable attendance.
  • Must obtain and maintain a Class III Gaming License from the Washington State Gambling Commission and Port Gamble S'Klallam Gaming Commission, as required.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment where timely technical support is essential.
