A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ENTRY-LEVEL INTERIOR HORTICULTURE TECHNICIAN / PLANT CARE SERVICE PROFESSIONAL

As an Entry-Level Interior Horticulture Technician / Plant Care Service Professional, you provide maintenance for our customers' plants. As the face of our company, your exceptional customer service ensures customer loyalty. Each day, you drive from site to site, including professional offices, commercial buildings, and our greenhouse, to care for plants and ensure that customers are happy.

You love that you aren't stuck at in a cubicle all day! You often wonder how you got so lucky as to work in gardening without having to work outside, other than the back and forth to your vehicle which gives you a breath of fresh air. Taking care of plants and flowers is part science and part art, so you get to engage both your intellectual and creative sides.

You also get to exercise physically by filling and carrying water buckets and climbing ladders as you prune, clean, and care for tropical foliage. When you started, you were just an enthusiastic person with great customer service skills that had an interest in gardening, now you are amazed at the knowledge and skills that you have developed during your time at Green Oasis!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN ENTRY-LEVEL INTERIOR HORTICULTURE TECHNICIAN / PLANT CARE SERVICE PROFESSIONAL

• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Ability to bend, reach, and climb a ladder
• Ability to do lots of walking
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
• Background screening
• Customer service skills
• Love for plants and gardening

INSIDE GARDENING WORK SCHEDULE

Work is Monday through Friday and usually starts on the early side of the day. We are flexible on start times but the usual day will be around 8 hours per day, 5 days a week. While we seek to be flexible, once a schedule is set, we expect our team to stick to it--as our customers appreciate our dependable service. Occasional work after hours or on weekends is also necessary.
