Summary:

The Clinical Education Specialist I is an entry-level nursing professional development (NPD) practitioner within the Education and Professional Development Department. This role supports the design, delivery, and evaluation of educational programs that promote clinical competence, safe practice, and professional growth across the organization. Working under the guidance of senior educators and department leadership, the Specialist 1 applies Association of Nursing Professional Development (ANPD) competencies to facilitate learning, support practice transitions, and contribute to regulatory and quality initiatives.

  • Required Experience

    • 3 years of relevant clinical nursing experience.

    • Must have Heart Transplant and VAD experience.

    • Prefer Peds ICU and/or Peds Cardiology experience.

    • Demonstrated competence in clinical specialty area.

    • Experience in precepting, charge nursing, or informal educator roles.

  • Education

    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.

    • Master's preferred.

  • Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification

    • Current, unencumbered nursing license.

    • BLS (American Heart).

    • PALS or NRP.
