Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software and quoting tools is often necessary, along with passing relevant insurance exams. Strong communication, persistence, and relationship-building skills help agents connect with clients and close sales. Entry-level professionals often encounter challenges such as adapting to a fast-paced work environment, learning industry-specific terminology, and balancing multiple responsibilities. Seeking guidance from colleagues, asking questions, and taking initiative in training sessions can greatly ease the transition and accelerate your growth in the organization.
