Build Your Career in Sustainable Agriculture

Do you enjoy working outdoors, solving problems, and supporting growers? Are you looking for an opportunity to launch your career with a company that's helping shape the future of sustainable agriculture?

Suterra is a global leader in environmentally responsible pest management solutions. We partner with growers throughout California to protect high-value specialty crops using innovative pheromone technology that reduces reliance on traditional pesticides.

We're looking for someone who is excited to learn, enjoys working in the field, and wants to grow into a technical agricultural career. Whether you're a recent graduate or have a few years of agricultural experience, we'll provide the training, mentorship, and hands-on experience to help you build a rewarding career.

The Technical Field Representative I (Agriculture) is an entry-level field position that combines customer service, field operations, and agricultural support. In this role, you'll work directly with growers and internal teams to execute seasonal product deployments, assist with field trials, collect field data, and help deliver innovative pest management solutions throughout California.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, is passionate about agriculture, and is looking to build a long-term career in sustainable crop production. Suterra provides the training, mentorship, and hands-on experience needed to develop into a technical field expert.

        Job Description

        What You'll Do

        Field Operations

        • Execute seasonal product deployment activities safely and accurately.
        • Install Suterra products according to established procedures.
        • Coordinate and assist temporary field labor during deployment activities.
        • Maintain accurate deployment records, product counts, and service documentation.
        • Utilize mobile applications, GPS, and mapping software to document field activities.
        • Support seasonal logistics and inventory management.

        Technical Field Support

        • Assist with field trial setup and maintenance.
        • Install traps, dispensers, and other trial materials.
        • Monitor field trials by collecting trap counts, observations, and other required field data.
        • Collect samples according to established protocols.
        • Submit accurate field observations and data to the Technical Field Team.
        • Maintain trial locations and equipment throughout the growing season.

        Customer Service

        • Build positive working relationships with growers, distributors, and agricultural partners.
        • Respond to routine customer questions regarding product installation and service.
        • Escalate technical or product performance concerns to the appropriate team members.
        • Represent Suterra professionally during customer visits and industry events.

        Teamwork & Continuous Improvement

        • Participate in technical training and ongoing professional development.
        • Support onboarding and training of seasonal employees.
        • Share ideas for improving field operations and customer service.
        • Work collaboratively with Sales, Technical Field, Customer Care, and Operations teams.
        Qualifications

        What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone who enjoys working outdoors, is eager to learn, and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.

        Required Qualifications

        • Two or more years of experience in agriculture, field operations, crop production, customer service, or a related field OR an associate's or bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Crop Science, Plant Science, Biology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
        • Strong communication and customer service skills.
        • Ability to work independently while managing an assigned territory.
        • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
        • Willingness to travel extensively throughout California.
        • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
        • High school diploma or GED required.

        Preferred Qualifications

        • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Crop Science, Plant Science, Biology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
        • Internship or field experience in agriculture or agricultural research.
        • Experience with California specialty crops.
        • Experience using mobile applications, GPS, or field mapping technology.
        • Professional fluency in English and Spanish strongly preferred.

        Additional Information

        Why Join Suterra?

This is more than a field service role. It's the first step in a career supporting growers, advancing sustainable agriculture, and developing technical expertise in one of California's most important industries.

        At Suterra, you'll receive:

        • Hands-on training and mentorship from experienced agricultural professionals.
        • Opportunities to build technical skills and grow your career.
        • The chance to work with innovative technology that's making agriculture more sustainable.
        • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.
