The Medical Assistant is the first contact for patient care. Responsible for administrative responsibilities in addition to patient care. The Medical Assistant performs advanced administrative, operational, customer support tasks that require independent initiative and judgment.

The Medical Assistant performs clinical tasks such as discussing symptoms and obtaining vital signs. Additionally, they administer medications and vaccines, perform phlebotomy, and collect specimens. They also perform diagnostic screening tests, sterilize and clean equipment, and maintain examination rooms. Furthermore, they document information into the electronic medical records system. Collaborate with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers. Deliver direct patient care dependent on what active certification allows. Decisions typically focus on methods and tactics for completing administrative tasks/projects. Exercise judgment in interpreting and adapting procedures, processes, and techniques. The Medical Assistant has advanced knowledge, contributes to process improvement, delivers in-depth education, and provides advanced guidance/mentoring to other Medical Assistants.

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish - must pass proficiency exam prior to foreign language communication

This role is considered patient-facing and is part of the company's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.
