CNC Lathe Operator (Entry Level to Experienced) โ€“ 2nd Shift
Hoosier, Inc. | Full-Time

Pay: $18 โ€“ $25/hour (based on experience)

Weโ€™re a fast-growing precision CNC machine shop hiring for a 2nd Shift CNC Lathe Operator.

Weโ€™re looking for experienced operators, but weโ€™re also open to entry-level candidates who are mechanically inclined, quick learners, and want to build a career in machining. If thatโ€™s you, weโ€™ll train you.

This is an opportunity to get hands-on experience, learn a skilled trade, and grow into a long-term career in CNC machining.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC lathes to produce precision machined parts
  • Load and unload parts and monitor machine cycles
  • Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
  • Make basic tool offsets and adjustments
  • Read blueprints, work instructions, and job travelers
  • Maintain quality standards and production efficiency
  • Keep work area clean and organized (5S)
  • Work with setup technicians, programmers, and quality team

Qualifications

  • CNC lathe experience preferred (Mazak, Haas, Doosan, Okuma a plus)
  • No CNC experience required for entry-level candidates with mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) or willingness to learn
  • Blueprint reading experience or willingness to learn
