Description

Position Description: This position is responsible for stocking shelves and rotating products in an assigned route. In addition, this position is responsible for the performance of all duties within the objectives, standards, mission, and policies of Doll Distributing LLC, State of Iowa laws and regulations governing the beer industry, and brewery/supplier requirements

Essenti Essential Functions:

  • Assist with unloading products from trailers, by hand or using hand carts
  • Stock shelves, coolers, and displays with products daily primarily at convenience stores
  • Comply with proper product rotation standards for product freshness and quality
  • Work product in back rooms of stores and condense backstock each time in store to keep these areas clean at all times
  • Prepare damaged and outdated product for pickup and return
  • Secure, set, and move displays when required
  • Place proper point-of-sale materials on mail shelf, displays, and coolers
  • Follow company and brewery merchandising standards
  • Exhibit strong commitment to the service needs of the external customer
  • Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner
  • Compliance with all company safety guidelines
  • Other duties as assigned

Non Essential Functions:

  • Work efficiently and strive for growth within stores
  • May be asked to work on evenings and weekends for special events
Qualifications

Qualifications: Must be 19 years of age High school diploma or GED Valid driver's license Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information

Working Conditions:

  • Physical/Mental Organizational Capabilities: Frequently lift, push, or move product that weighs 1-50 pounds, up to 165 pound kegs of beer; daily lifting of 20,000 to 40,000 or more pounds of product Frequently reach up to 72" to stack and unstack pallets and hand carts Constantly bend and twist while loading and unloading product, stocking coolers and shelves, and rotating backroom stock at customer locations The individual in this role must possess the ability to walk, stand, sit, bend, and climb stairs on a frequent basis. Must have the ability to safely lift a minimum of 24 lbs. without assistance, waist level, waist to should level, shoulder level to overhead. Must have ability to push/pull/lift a maximum of 165 lbs. with appropriate equipment. Requires significant demands on these physical requirements through entire work shift with tasks performed in all weather conditions. The ability to pay attention to detail, problem solve, troubleshoot, and make decisions is required.
  • Temperature/Climate This position will spend 100% of the shift in a climate-controlled environment; may work in coolers with temperatures ranging from 32 degrees to 38 degrees.
  • Personal Protective Equipment necessary Steel-toed boots/shoes with skid-proof soles are required
  • Safety Considerations This position will routinely use a two-wheeler and/or cart to transport product.
  • Personal Protective Equipment Necessary May wear gloves when handling products.
  • Visual/Hearing Capabilities The visual ability necessary to read and interpret written information is required as well as the ability to differentiate product types. The hearing ability necessary to communicate with others is required. The individual must be able to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, with employees and customers on all levels of the organization and retail trade.
