Your role and responsibilities
The Quality Specialist supports the Quality Engineer and local Quality team in implementing and maintaining quality systems and processes. This hands-on role involves conducting inspections, performing measurements and tests, supporting audits, gathering quality data, and assisting with continuous improvement initiatives. The Quality Specialist works directly with production and operations teams to ensure products meet quality standards. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals pursuing a quality engineering career who are willing to engage in hands-on work and take ownership of quality initiatives.
You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Performs quality inspections and measurements on products, components, and materials using measurement tools and testing equipment
  • Operates diagnostic and testing equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, power analyzers, and other specialized measurement tools
  • Uses power equipment and hand tools safely to perform quality checks and hands-on assessments
  • Collects, records, and accurately documents quality data and measurement results in quality management systems
  • Willing to help with other tasks as needed to support operational objectives

Qualifications for the role

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or Technical training in facilities, maintenance, or operations preferred
  • 1-year of experience in a manufacturing, quality, or operations, preferred
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn diagnostic and testing equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, power analyzers, gauges, etc.); comfortable using power equipment and hand tools safely
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn quality management systems software
  • Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
