Pay Range: $69,000 - $85,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications
MITER Brands™ is a residential window and door manufacturer that provides a leading portfolio of window and door brands for the new construction and replacement segments. MITER Brands, also known as Milgard, MI Windows & Doors and PGTI is one of the nation's largest suppliers of vinyl windows and patio doors, with plants across the country.
The HR Generalist works with the Senior HR Manager to support a 600-plus employee facility through recruiting/acquisition, training/development, performance management, benefits communication, and employee relations. This all-important position will report to Senior HR Manager and work with Operations leadership in Safety-related activities to ensure injury prevention, regulatory compliance, and, most importantly - a 100% safe workplace for our employees.
Bilingual (English Spanish) required.
Work schedule: 2:00pm - 11:00pm Monday - Friday. Flexibility is required as needed to meet the needs of the business.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct training for supervisors and managers on a wide variety of topics to help increase their leadership effectiveness
  • Manage the recruitment of hourly candidates for a variety of positions in multiple functions, participate in the interview and selection process of salaried candidates and manage the onboarding process
  • Provide support to the location's Safety program, including managing Workers' Compensation
  • Investigate employee complaints and assist and support supervisors and managers with addressing performance and misconduct issues
  • Contribute to efficient staffing and onboarding of the location to reduce overtime and achieve high operational efficiency and employee retention.

Qualifications
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
  • A four-year degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred
  • SPHR, PHR, SHRM CP and/or SHRM SCP certification is preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years of HR Generalist or relevant experience is required, preferably in a manufacturing operation
  • A minimum of 3 years of demonstrated past success in recruiting, talent assessment, and development is required
  • Soft skills requirements include being reliable, results oriented, collaborative, and customer-focused
