Au poste de generaliste principal(e) en ressources humaines, vous serez directement rattache(e) au (a la) gestionnaire regionale des RH pour le Canada et vous travaillerez en partenariat avec une equipe de generalistes en RH qui soutiennent environ 4000 employes au Canada. Au Canada, nous sommes une petite, mais formidable equipe qui uvre au sein d'une organisation internationale tres vaste et complexe qui compte plus de 100000employes dans le monde. Votre role consistera a soutenir directement environ 900 employes dans plusieurs unites d'affaires, en fournissant des conseils et un encadrement quotidiens a tous les niveaux de l'organisation, tant pour les employes syndiques que pour ceux qui ne le sont pas.

Prealables obligatoires

  • Maitrise de l'anglais et du francais, tant a l'ecrit qu'a l'oral.
  • Diplome collegial ou universitaire en ressources humaines ou dans un domaine connexe, ou experience professionnelle equivalente.
  • CRHA, CRIA, ou tout autre titre similaire en matiere de ressources humaines, de preference, mais pas obligatoirement.
  • Au moins 8ans d'experience avec responsabilite progressive en tant que generaliste en RH, avec au moins 3 ans d'experience dans le domaine des relations du travail.
  • Experience prealable du soutien a la main-d'uvre au Quebec, connaissance de la CNESST et de la CCQ.
  • Experience prealable dans l'accompagnement d'un grand nombre de travailleurs a distance. Vous avez non seulement adopte le nouveau mode de travail a domicile, mais aussi maitrise l'equilibre travail/vie personnelle qu'il requiert.
  • Capacite a s'adapter, a se retourner sur un dix cents et a reevaluer face a des priorites nombreuses et concurrentes.

What you'll do

Are you ready to take the next step in your career? As a Senior Human Resources Generalist, you will report directly to the Regional HR Manager for Canada and will partner with a team of HR Generalists who support approximately 4,000 employees across Canada. In Canada, we are a small but formidable team in a very large and complex international organization with more than 100,000 employees worldwide. Your role will be to directly support approximately 900 employees across multiple business units, providing day-to-day guidance and coaching at all levels of the organization, for both unionized and non-unionized employees.

*This is a remote position, preferably in Quebec, but it is not mandatory.

How you'll manage to do it

  • You will leverage the full capabilities of the human resources organization by partnering with various centres of expertise, shared service centres, and human resources and compliance groups.
  • You will advise on a variety of complex employee relations issues, such as corrective measures, policy violations, performance and collective agreement issues.
  • You will work independently in ambiguous situations and adapt quickly to changes and guide the different levels of the organization to adapt to these changes.
  • As a senior member of the HR team, you will provide professional coaching to HR team members and others within the organization.
  • The expanded HR Solutions & Services team, HR Business Partner team, and Centres of Expertise will seek your assistance in discussing their current or future needs.
  • You will determine the workforce and hiring plans needed to guide recruitment staff in their efforts to develop a high-level employee recruitment strategy, in partnership with the Talent Attraction team.
  • You will lead and participate in organizational change and continuous improvement initiatives from design to implementation.
  • You will introduce human resources programs to client groups and employees.
  • You will manage issues of all kinds in both unionized and non-unionized environments.
  • You will rely on your reputation as a neutral and approachable human resources professional to find the best solution for the situation.
  • You will work with leaders to assess current talent and develop long-term talent strategies that establish the required skills and qualification levels and ultimately improve the organization's performance.
  • You will develop and implement processes to facilitate organizational change and support appropriate change management processes.
  • You will lead and participate in projects.

What we're looking for

Mandatory Prerequisites

  • Fluency in English and French, both written and oral.
  • College or university degree in human resources or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • CHRP, CRIA, or any other similar human resources designation, preferred, but not required.
  • At least 8 years of progressively responsible experience as an HR generalist, with at least 3 years of experience in the field of labour relations.
  • Previous experience in workforce support in Quebec, knowledge of the CNESST and the CCQ.
  • Previous experience in supporting a large number of remote workers. You've not only embraced the new way of working from home, but you've also mastered the work/life balance it requires.
  • Ability to adapt, to look back on a dime and to re-evaluate in the face of numerous and competing priorities.
  • Experience conveying sensitive and difficult communications to employees and the management team
  • Working knowledge of labour law, legal decisions and regulations in several regions of Canada.
  • Strong employee relations and business management coaching skills.
  • Ability to influence without authority.
  • Ability to manage conflict while maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Demonstration of a continuous improvement mindset and a good knowledge of continuous improvement practices.
  • Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills are essential.
  • Less than 5% of travel may be required.
