Job Summary

The HR Generalist at 1 Click Logistics will play a pivotal role in supporting all aspects of the human resources function, from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations and performance management. This dynamic role involves providing day-to-day HR support to both employees and managers while ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies. The HR Generalist will help foster a positive workplace culture, drive employee engagement, and contribute to the overall success of the organization by implementing effective HR processes and solutions. Additionally, must be detail-oriented, well-versed in relevant software applications, highly organized, and capable of handling confidential information with discretion.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and coordinating offers.
  • Oversee the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition for new hires, including conducting orientations and ensuring all new hire documentation is completed.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to determine staffing needs and provide guidance on best hiring practices.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related issues, providing support and guidance on workplace policies, procedures, and conflict resolution.
  • Investigate employee complaints and concerns, work with the Director of HR and management to implement appropriate solutions.
  • Promote positive employee relations and foster a collaborative company culture.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of performance management processes, including setting goals, conducting evaluations, and tracking employee progress.
  • Provide coaching to managers on performance improvement plans, employee feedback, and talent development.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks.
  • Assist employees with benefits-related questions and guide them through open enrollment and other benefits events.
  • Work with external vendors to ensure the proper administration of benefits programs and resolve any employee concerns.
  • Ensure HR policies and practices comply with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including FMLA, ADA, and EEO.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring all documentation is in compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
  • Conduct internal audits of HR files and records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist with identifying training needs across the organization and facilitate training programs or workshops to support employee growth and development.
  • Support managers with the implementation of employee development plans and career path initiatives.
  • Plan and execute employee engagement activities and events, contributing to a positive company culture.
  • Implement retention strategies by analyzing employee satisfaction and turnover trends, providing recommendations to HR leadership.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to address and resolve employee concerns and workplace conflicts efficiently and professionally.
  • High attention to detail in managing employee records, benefits administration, and compliance documentation.
  • Working knowledge of HR best practices, policies, and federal/state employment laws, with the ability to assist in compliance and employee relations.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels.
  • Ability to handle sensitive employee data with discretion and maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
  • Ability to analyze HR metrics and make data-driven recommendations to improve HR processes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in an HR Generalist role or similar HR functions.
  • Strong understanding of recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.
  • Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., ADP, Workday, UKG).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.
