Shift: Day Shift | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM | 40 Hours/Week
Compensation: $16.75 - $18.00 per hour

Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Release of Information (ROI) Specialist to join our HIM team. This role is responsible for processing requests for medical records and itemized bill copies promptly and accurately, while maintaining compliance with all federal and state regulations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service, confidentiality, and data integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Process requests for medical records and itemized bills in a timely and accurate manner
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state Release of Information (ROI) regulations
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold HIPAA standards
  • Utilize EPIC or other EMR systems for record retrieval and processing
  • Provide professional and courteous service to patients, providers, and third-party requestors
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
  • 2-3 years of clerical experience in a healthcare setting
  • Previous experience in a medical office or HIM department
  • Proficiency with EMR systems, particularly EPIC
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology
  • Knowledge of federal and state ROI regulations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
