Overview

Leon's is currently looking for a Part Time Showroom Helper to assist the Merchandise Manager and Decorator in creating functional and appealing product displays that showcase our line of merchandise, and ensure the layout is well suited to our customers' needs. Follow the direction of the Decorator and Merchandise Manager in setting up product displays throughout the showroom.

Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload trailers and delivery trucks
  • Receive inventory
  • Complete inspections with the Service department and customers 
  • Operate lift trucks
  • Complete an Accessory Inventory semi-annually
  • Unwrap and re-wrap products as required, for delivery or pickup
  • Assist the decorator by moving new merchandise from the warehouse to the showroom, moving damaged merchandise to clearance, etc.
  • Computer work - use operating system to research product information, prices and specs
  • Assembling and setting up merchandise
  • Helping to construct and deconstruct displays for promotions 
  • Decorating and tagging products for promotions
  • Upkeeping product display and the overall presentation of the showroom 
  • Performing various other duties, as assigned

Requirements: 

  • Some heavy lifting required
  • Ability to move and place products
  • Ability to assemble merchandise
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to interpret and apply directions from Decorator and Merchandise Manager, to create the envisioned space

Compensation:

The starting hourly rate for this position is $17.70.
