PATIENT APPOINTMENT CLERK (Part-Time)

Essential HealthCare Solution is a woman-owned small business dedicated to providing optimal services to support our military and their families. Essential HealthCare Solution is seeking full-time entry-level healthcare administrative clerks for a customer service role. Services span a range of functions, including, but not limited to, verifying beneficiary eligibility through an electronic system and updating demographic information, and scheduling requests for primary or specialty care appointments, as well as completing requests for cancellations and appointment rescheduling. The work includes completing outbound calls to facilitate the timely scheduling of specialty appointments in support of specialty referrals. Appointing services also include outbound calls to facilitate the scheduling of preventative health appointments and surgery reminder calls. This position will serve an important role in scheduling and coordinating appointments.

On-site Part-Time Position

WORK HOURS: 20 hours per week Monday - Thursday 8:00 AM-1:00PM

Pay: $22.98 per hour (Optional: additional $5.09 H&W per hour in lieu of benefits.)

Location: Tacoma, WA

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalency
  • Skilled in Word, Excel, Access, and other software programs
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Able to define problems and obtain solutions
  • Must be able to obtain security clearance to access the work site
  • Must be able to clearly communicate verbally and in writing with coworkers and clinic staff.
  • Healthcare administrative experience - preferred
  • Health Plan experience - preferred
  • Provider Relations or Member Service experience - preferred
  • Call Center- preferred but not mandatory
