Job Summary
The Manager, Medicare Sales is responsible for leading Individual Medicare sales activities within an assigned territory through a team of Broker Sales Representatives. This role is accountable for executing market growth strategies, driving sales performance, strengthening broker partnerships, and ensuring operational excellence while supporting broader regional objectives established by senior leadership.
The position partners closely with internal matrix partners including Provider Performance & Engagement (PPE), Marketing, Sales Operations and Compliance to identify local growth opportunities, support broker engagement, address operational barriers, and execute strategic sales initiatives.
The Manager, Medicare Sales is responsible for achieving membership growth objectives, developing high-performing sales professionals, maintaining productive broker relationships, monitoring market performance, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. Regular travel throughout the assigned territory is required.
Required Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of Medicare sales, managed care, health insurance, or related healthcare sales experience.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of leadership experience leading sales professionals, broker distribution teams, or field-based organizations; or demonstrated experience coaching peers, driving business performance, and leading strategic initiatives with measurable results
  • Demonstrated success achieving and exceeding sales and membership growth objectives.
  • Working knowledge of CMS regulations and the Medicare Advantage marketplace.
  • Current resident Health and Life Insurance License, or ability to obtain and maintain licensure in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze performance metrics and develop action plans that drive results.
  • Demonstrated experience building and managing relationships with brokers, agencies, providers, and community organizations.
  • Strong coaching, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications, CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred), and sales reporting tools.
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory.
  • Applicants must take and pass the company Medicare Certification exam or maintain current certification in accordance with CMS requirements.

Preferred Job Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience leading a Medicare broker distribution across multiple states or large geographic territories
  • Experience developing strategic broker partnerships and executing market growth initiatives.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including Network Management, Provider Performance & Engagement (PPE). Contracting, Finance, Marketing, and Sales Operations.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce and other sales performance reporting platforms.
  • Experience leading geographically dispersed field sales teams across multiple markets.

Location: Individual must be located in the Houston market.
Work From Home: This is a fully remote position, available in the US only
Travel: Up to 75% local travel in assigned territory
Schedule: Monday - Friday, typical business hours. Evening meetings required based on partner and event schedules.
