In this position, the Research Analyst will create custom analysis-ready datasets from structured and unstructured clinical research data repositories, assist in the preparation of analysis plans, perform statistical analyses, and maintain detailed documentation of data extraction and analysis supporting publications and grant proposals. The Research Analyst will also support institution-wide educational initiatives to increase access and utilization of clinical databases for observational research. Working in collaboration with faculty at the Division of Medical Informatics, the Research Analyst will create user-friendly documentation (e.g., tutorials, use cases), reusable data processing and analysis tools (e.g., statistical packages) and hands-on materials that will be used in workshops.## **Job Description:****Job Duties Outlined:*** Create custom analysis-ready datasets from structured and unstructured clinical research data repositories and databases, using clinical databases (e.g., electronic health records, claims databases, clinical research networks and large publicly available clinical datasets).* Use Structured Query Language (SQL), R or Statistical Analysis System (SAS) to perform data analysis.* Assist in the preparation of statistical analysis plans, statistical analyses and create statistical analysis reports.* Maintain detailed documentation of data extraction and analysis supporting publications and grant proposals.* Create user-friendly documentation, reusable data processing and analysis tools and materials that will be used by faculty in teaching initiatives.* Other duties as assigned.**Required Qualifications:*** Master's degree in Biostatistics/Statistics, Epidemiology, Quantitative Methods, Economics, Health Outcomes Research, Business Analytics or related degree* Two-years direct work experience in the analysis of clinical databases (e.g., electronic health records, claims databases, clinical research networks and large publicly available clinical datasets).* Demonstrated ability with SQL and R, or SAS.**Comprehensive Benefits Package:**Coverage begins on day one for health, dental, and vision insurance and includes health expense accounts with generous employer contributions if the employee participates in a qualifying health plan.
