We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated entry-level CAD Drafter to support utility and civil design projects. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional with foundational AutoCAD experience who is eager to learn and grow in a technical drafting environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize AutoCAD 2D to convert hand-marked field drawings and annotated PDFs into accurate, clean as-built plans
  • Interpret civil and utility plan drawings, including dimension callouts (e.g., distances from edge of pavement, centerlines, etc.)
  • Place and label standard utility symbols based on provided legends and reference materials
  • Work from field-marked documents that include coordinates, pipe designations, and fitting callouts
  • Accurately input and maintain detailed attributes such as pipe size, material, pressure class, and depth
  • Ensure all drawings are completed with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Qualifications
  • Basic experience with AutoCAD 2D (coursework or internship experience acceptable)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, particularly in civil or utility contexts
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and drafting work
  • Comfortable working with annotated PDFs and transferring information into CAD systems
  • Familiarity with utility or civil drafting environments preferred
  • Exposure to gas utility drafting is a plus, but not required
