Web Developer Job Description Ballistic Digital has an opening for a Web Developer to support a government program in Williamsburg, VA.
Although our team has been highly effective and has changed the way our customer does business, we’ve been missing one thing – YOU!
You’ll be working alongside other developers, engineers, and technical specialists to build and maintain modern web applications supporting mission-critical training and operational systems. Your ability to design, develop, and deploy scalable applications will help our team deliver reliable and innovative solutions to our customer.

What we need from you
• A current/active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience
• Experience developing and maintaining modern web applications
• Strong experience with Python, JavaScript, Node.js, Angular, or similar technologies
• Experience building RESTful APIs or GraphQL services
• Experience designing and managing relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• Experience working with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.)
• Experience developing applications using modern web frameworks (Django, Flask, React, Angular, etc.)
• Experience supporting operations & maintenance (O&M) of production web systems including troubleshooting, bug fixing, and performance optimization
• Experience working in AWS environments including services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda
• Solid understanding of data modeling, system architecture, and scalable application design
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
• Must be highly motivated and able to work independently as well as within a collaborative team environment

• Experience applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) or Machine Learning (ML) concepts in web applications
• Experience integrating ML models built with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn
• Experience implementing features such as chatbots, recommendation engines, or anomaly detection
• Experience designing systems that support predictive analytics or natural language processing
• Experience building cloud-native or microservice architectures
