Job description

ASR International Corp, http://www.asrintl.com, is looking for an entry-level Engineering Professional/Technical Writer to support ASR's Government Proposal team with the development of detailed cost and pricing proposals in response to Department of Defense and other federal agencies requests for bids and proposals. This position is on-site at our Hauppauge, NY office.. This is a full time position, however ASR is also open to hiring part-time professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. You will be Responsible for the Bid/Proposal Process, researching the requirements to put together a full gap-analysis understanding of the requirements leveraging your engineering background.
  2. You must have a strong background in reading requirements, researching and understanding engineering technical requirements, and applying engineering understanding to understand truly what is required.
  3. Collaborate across departments to develop proposals to be presented to senior leadership.
  4. Proposal compliance review.
Qualifications:
  1. Must have a Bachelors in Engineering at a minimum. Masters preferred.
  2. Must have strong MS Office capabilities, to include MS Word, and MS Excel, to author documents.
  3. Independent Work ethic, ability to work with minimal direction (after training)
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to successfully interact within all levels of the corporation.
  5. Ability to work on multiple projects and initiatives concurrently.
  6. Knowledge of Government/ DoD contracting and current acquisition trends. Firm understanding of Government contracting, DoD acquisitions and the FAR for the professional services industry is desirable.
  7. Relevant Federal Acquisition work experience, technical writing and pricing analysis experience is desirable.
  8. US Citizen/Green Card holder
