Description:

Mira Vista Country Club is seeking a motivated and dependable Entry Level Spray Technician to join our Agronomy team. This position plays an important role in maintaining exceptional turf conditions through the safe application of fertilizers, pesticides, and other turf management products. In addition to spray applications, this role will assist with a variety of golf course maintenance duties, including mowing, trimming, and other tasks necessary to support overall course conditions.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in golf course agronomy and turfgrass management. On-the-job training will be provided, including support in obtaining a Texas Pesticide Applicator License.


Turf & Grounds Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation and application of pesticides, fertilizers, and other turf care products
  • Operate spray equipment and maintenance tools safely and efficiently
  • Follow all safety procedures related to chemical handling, storage, and application
  • Maintain accurate application and equipment records
  • Assist with daily golf course maintenance operations, including mowing, trimming, edging, and other groundskeeping tasks
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Training & Development

  • Receive hands-on training in spray applications and turfgrass management practices
  • Learn proper calibration, mixing, and application techniques
  • Develop knowledge of golf course agronomy and safe chemical handling

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED required
  • Some college coursework in turfgrass management, agriculture, horticulture, or related field is a plus
  • Non-Commercial Pesticide Applicator License preferred, but not required
    • Candidates without a Pesticide Applicator license must be willing and able to obtain licensing within one (1) year of hire
  • Valid driverโ€™s license and reliable transportation required
