Job description


The Global Risk Management Clerk will provide essential support to the Risk Management department and its objectives by ensuring we deliver and maintain accuracy of inputs and documentation associated with insurance, payments, and bond/guarantee renewals across the global risk portfolio. This position will work closely with internal Risk Management & Treasury team members, along with various internal and external partners to support day-to-day operations of the Risk Management function. We are looking for a self-starter with excellent organization and time management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work across multiple workflows.
Essential Functions:
  • Administer the team Accounts Payable process, ensuring invoices are entered and suppliers set up/updated accurately and timely, payments are tracked (if automated) or created (if manual) and outstanding balances are reconciled to third party records.
  • Collect and collate underwriting information, predominately in Excel format, required for Carnival to place insurance policies, incorporating multiple data sets from global operations, collating in a format suitable for manager review.
  • Review and distribution of post-renewal insurance and surety bond documentation ensuring the accuracy of documentation received from brokers and insurers and distributing to appropriate stakeholders across the company.
  • Provide back-up support for the review and verification of third-party vendor Certificates of Insurance (COIs) to ensure compliance with corporate insurance requirements and contractual obligations.
  • Collect, compile and review letters of credit, guarantees, bonds in force and administer their renewal. Maintain spreadsheet record of all instruments held globally, ensuring internal records agree to third party sources.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong attention to detail, with a methodical and organized approach to managing documentation and data integrity. Experience in record-keeping, audit trail maintenance, and supporting regulatory or internal reviews is a plus.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, capable of managing end-to-end processes with minimal supervision.
  • Adaptable, able to prioritize and respond effectively to shifting deadlines and evolving team needs.
  • Collaborative mindset, with proven ability to work effectively both independently and within cross-functional teams.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Word (document formatting and templates), Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data validation), and PowerPoint (presentation formatting).Experience with Microsoft automation tools (e.g., Power Automate, SharePoint workflows) is highly desirable.

  • High School Diploma or College Studies

Minimum three years in a Corporate environment with demonstrated examples of:
  • Understanding of corporate policies, audit procedures, and financial controls.
  • Use of Excel skills to compile and format data from multiple sources, and maintain audit trails/ensure data integrity.
  • Document Management including collecting, reviewing, and distributing documentation.
  • Experience in process improvement/streamlining and use of automation tools a plus.
Travel: No or very little travel likely
Work Conditions:Work beyond normal business hours or on weekends may be required occasionally to support business needs, projects, or operations.
Physical Demands. Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential..
This position is classified as "remote." As a remote role, it allows employees to work full-time from their home. It may also require regular travel to Carnival headquarters in Miami, FL for in-office collaboration. Sourcing of candidates is primarily done in Carnival's remote hubs of Orlando, Tampa, Atlanta, Houston, and Dallas. If the search is extended past those areas, candidates must be located in one of the following U.S. states: FL, GA, TX and NC
