JOB DESCRIPTION: Entry level Cook position responsible for the timely preparation of all food orders received on the line at assigned location to ensure guest satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepares food according to menu and prep cook standards.
- Preps food for Senior Cooks.
- Make soup according to recipes.
- Operates fryers and cooks on grill.
- Stocks inventory as needed.
- Delivers exceptional internal and external guest service standards.
- Meets expectations of line/prep cook positions and performance standards.
- Maintains full understanding of each line position and responsibilities at each station
- Learns and understands menu and food preparation at all stations.
- Understands the impact of the kitchen staff on guest satisfaction
- Meets or exceeds kitchen sanitation standards
- Meets ticket time goals
- Maintains knowledge of all events in the property as a whole.
- Attends and/or facilitates all mandatory meetings and training.
- Maintains confidentiality at all times.
- Is sensitive to Native American Culture.
- Operates within the parameters of the Leech Lake Gaming Human Resource Policy, Departmental Policy Manual and all Tribal Internal Controls (TICs), and all other applicable regulations.
- Secures the assets of Leech Lake Gaming and the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Possess knowledge of food quality standards and understanding of service and atmosphere as they relate to the line cook position.
- Must be dependable and reliable.
- Working knowledge of food service equipment and utensils
- Knowledge of federal and state sanitation guidelines
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Physically capable of remaining on feet for long periods of time.
- Subject to internal working conditions, including a smoking environment.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
