Job description

** This is an contract to hire opportunity with one of our clients for a quality assurance tester. This role is hybrid out of their Bloomington, MN office. Candidates must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.**
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Tester with strong mortgage industry experience (wholesale and correspondent lending required) who can immediately contribute to test case development, regression testing, and test automation initiatives.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a consultative mindset who can work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, remote or hybrid environment. This role is critical in helping transition the QA function from manual testing to a more automated, scalable regression testing model, ensuring real-world mortgage scenarios are accurately validated.
Responsibilities
  • Design and execute test cases focused on mortgage workflows and system functionality
  • Build, maintain, and execute regression test suites across supported platforms
  • Identify, document, and track defects through resolution in partnership with development and product teams
  • Collaborate with QA team members, product owner, and business stakeholders to ensure accurate test coverage
  • Support the transition from manual to automated regression testing, including overnight test runs
  • Ensure testing reflects real-world mortgage scenarios across platforms such as Vesta and LauraMac
Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of the mortgage industry, including wholesale and correspondent lending
  • Hands-on experience in QA testing, including writing and executing test cases
  • Experience with regression testing methodologies
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work independently while managing responsibilities across assigned systems
Nice To Haves
  • Experience supporting or transitioning to automated testing environments
  • Familiarity with mortgage technology platforms such as Vesta or LauraMac
