Job description

Warehouse Supervisor

West Jordan, UT

Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00 PM - Until work is completed

Salary: $60,000 plus quarterly bonus

We are seeking a hands-on Night Shift Operations Supervisor to lead our overnight unload operation within a fast-paced Frito-Lay distribution center.

This position is responsible for leading one Team Lead and a team of 20+ warehouse associates while ensuring trailers are unloaded safely, efficiently, and on schedule. The ideal candidate is a strong floor leader who can motivate people, hold the team accountable, solve problems in real time, and build a positive culture focused on safety and performance.

This is a working leadership position. Successful candidates should be comfortable spending the majority of their shift on the warehouse floor coaching employees, removing obstacles, and ensuring operational goals are met.

Schedule

  • Night Shift
  • Typical hours are 8:00 PM until the operation is complete
  • Start time may transition to 10:00 PM based on business needs
  • Flexibility is required, as finish times vary depending on workload

Responsibilities

  • Lead the nightly unload operation from start to finish.
  • Supervise one Team Lead and 20+ warehouse associates.
  • Ensure trailers are unloaded safely, accurately, and efficiently.
  • Coach employees on safety, productivity, quality, and attendance expectations.
  • Monitor labor productivity and adjust staffing throughout the shift.
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings and communicate daily goals and priorities.
  • Partner with site leadership to meet customer service expectations.
  • Investigate operational issues and quickly resolve problems impacting productivity.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and operational reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and customer requirements.
  • Provide coaching, performance feedback, and corrective action when necessary.
  • Develop employees and identify future leaders within the operation.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a warehouse, distribution center, manufacturing, or logistics environment.
  • Experience leading hourly employees in a fast-paced operation.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to make decisions in a fast-moving environment.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when necessary and work in a physically demanding warehouse environment.
  • Forklift experience is preferred but not required.
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays.

Preferred

  • Experience in food or consumer packaged goods distribution.
  • Experience managing unloading, shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.
  • Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
