What you'll do
The Server will provide assistance in all dietary functions as directed by or in accordance with dietary policies and procedures.
  • Support the philosophy and objectives of the facility
  • Assure all dietary procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.
  • Develop and maintain a good working rapport with inter-department personnel, as well as create
    and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis, as Attend and
    participate in staff meetings.
  • Serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance.
  • Serve meals restaurant style.
  • Serve food in accordance with established portion and diet control as listed on the menu Assist in
    daily or scheduled cleaning duties, in accordance with established policies and Clean work tables,
    refrigerators, freezers, wait station, equipment etc.
  • Sweep and mop floors as directed.
  • Keep work areas clean, dry, and free of hazardous equipment and supplies.
  • Set up meal trays, food carts, dining room, etc., as instructed.
  • Portion out salads and desserts. May assist cook in preparing meals.
  • Operate dishwasher for cleaning of dishware. Assure that utensils, etc., are readily available for
    the next meal.
  • Prepare beverages and snacks for café.
  • Clean and maintain stock items in café.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Assure that safety regulations are followed at all times by all personnel. Follow established
    Infection Control and Universal Precautions policies and procedures when performing daily tasks.
  • Report all hazardous conditions or equipment to the Food Service Manager or designee
    immediately.
  • Report all accidents or incidents as established by department policies.
  • Assure food and supplies for the next meal are readily available and assist in storing in-coming
    food supplies as necessary.
  • Attend all required in-services and follow all department and facility policies including the use of
    personal protective equipment.
  • Maintain CONFIDENTIALITY of all pertinent resident care and employee information and follow
    HIPAA and HIV regulations.

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
