We are pleased to announce the opening of an Intermediate Flight Test Analysis Engineer, who will join our Engineering Services Division in Huntsville, Alabama and become part of our rapidly growing technology company operating in missile defense, cybersecurity, test range modernization, biotechnology, and space control marketspaces. In this position, the selected candidate will support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Director of Test Targets (DTT) Tech Team on Redstone Arsenal.

You’ll be:

  • Supporting the development, integration, analysis, and documentation of target analysis products for pre-mission and post-mission activities for all MDA Flight Tests
  • Planning test activities and providing recommendations for team assignments to support mission activities
  • Contributing to development of Target Vehicle notional trajectories and flight scenarios
  • Deploying for test missions and develop data analysis products such as Target Best Estimated Trajectory (BET), Target Quick-look Brief, and Target Launch Time within required 24-hour (quick-look) timeframe, ensuring accuracy of data products
  • Participating in target development and test planning activities such as Target System Readiness Reviews, Preliminary Design Reviews, Critical Design Reviews, Target and Test Readiness Reviews, providing analysis and recommendations
  • Preparing technical reports and/or briefings on various technical aspects of Flight Test Targets
  • Processing, parsing, and reformatting large flight test data sets, converting between various file types to support analysis and tool integration
  • Utilizing MATLAB to develop/execute scripting tools used for evaluating missile trajectory dynamics against mission and safety requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in STEM field is required with minimum of 3 years working on missile defense-related or other complex/large DoD program/projects
  • Active Secret Clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Must be detail oriented, self-motivated, and work both independently and collaboratively
  • Experience working independently and/or leading sub-teams to analyze and resolve problems
  • Skilled in use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Skilled in use of Matlab, and TAOS software
  • Familiar with STK software
  • Experience with missiles, targets, missile defense systems or hypersonic weapons
