Job description

Overview

This position provides support to the credit sales organization, vendor partners and senior management through the underwriting and adjudication of commercial credit applications within the Wine Division. Reviews private and publicly available information and low complexity risk assessments on commercial borrowers, analyzing customer/prospective customer financial statements/performance and internal pay history, as necessary. Adjudicates opportunities within individual lending authority and recommends decisions over and above established delegated authority.


Responsibilities & Qualifications

Duties & Responsibilities:


Analysis - Sources, compiles, spreads, and begins to interpret commercial and natural person financial information to determine the creditworthiness of a business client. Analyzes factors that impact credit on both a quantitative and qualitative basis. Assists with analyzing loan processes for accuracy and efficiency, effectively communicates analysis output.

Business Support - Provides analytical insight and technical skill to lending activities, developing industry, data, and credit knowledge to serve as a resource to associates. May recommend process improvements and risk mitigation strategies identified through data trends.

Client outreach - Obtains and monitors financial documentation utilized in analysis efforts, from Borrowers and prospective Borrowers. Ensures accuracy, completeness, and consistency of documentation and begins to develop own COI ecosystem.

Reporting - Produces reports based on analysis, key loan metrics, and credit relationships. Identifies and communicates trends that indicate risk or credit issues.

This position may be filled at a Credit Analyst level I or II depending on the skills and experience of the selected candidate

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and 0-2 years of experience in Banking or Financial industry OR High School Diploma or GED and 4-6 years of experience in Banking or Financial industry

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Finance and/or Accounting degree
  • Strong communication and business writing skills
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced team environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Word and Excel.
  • Interest and/or experience in the Premium Wine Industry is a plus

The base pay for this position is generally between $86,250-$120,000. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. Total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
