At Paramount Pictures, the mailroom is a hands-on entry-level position that gives participants direct experience in the business side of the entertainment industry. It is considered a modern-day "mailroom" and serves as a talent pipeline for many full-time roles within the Paramount family of companies.
Overview
The mailroom is a dynamic, high-visibility position on the Hollywood lot, where you'll conduct all incoming and communicative mail, parcels, and deliveries for the studio. It's a great way to build skills in organization, customer service, and teamwork while gaining exposure to the broader operations of a major film studio.
Responsibilities
  • Sort, screen, and route all incoming mail and parcels according to assigned routes.
  • Scan and track deliveries, input them into the tracking system, and manage outgoing shipments via FedEx, UPS, and DHL.
  • Complete two daily runs (typically 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM) within 90 minutes.
  • Keep mail slot names and building/room numbers current, and address "unknown" mail (illegible names, missing addresses, etc.)
  • Maintain the integrity and cleanliness of the mailroom area.
  • Back up other messengers when needed and perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications
  • Valid California driver's license to operate an electric cart on the property. •
  • Capable of carrying up to 50 lbs. and lifting to 75 lbs. using a pushcart/dolly.
  • Proficiency with tracking systems and basic computer operations.
  • 0-1+ years of mailroom or similar experience is preferred.
  • Strong customer service, attention to detail, ability to work self-reliantly, and teamwork.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $38,500.00 - 42,500.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
