Introduction

Compensation plans are based on a multi-step progression system. The pay range reflects the entry level and maximum salary potential in the assigned pay grade.\r\n**A starting salary may be negotiated and will be commensurate with education, training and experience in alignment with pay administration policies and Montgomery Personnel Board Rules & Regulations**\r\n

Nature of Work

This is an advanced-level executive support position\r\nperforming a full range of\r\ngeneral and specialized clerical procedures with differentiation from lower\r\nclerical levels in providing direct support in a variety of administrative\r\nfunctions and may supervise lower level clerical employees. Work procedures are similar in nature to the\r\nSenior Administrative Assistant level such as managing major functions such as\r\npayroll, budget preparation and control, purchasing supplies and equipment,\r\npersonnel actions, various report and document generation, and/or managing\r\nrecord keeping and filing systems but work is differentiated due to the\r\nposition supporting the highest officials requiring extensive office\r\nprotocols. Work in this class is\r\nnon-routine and cyclical in nature. Work requires full knowledge of office\r\nadministration, protocols and supervisory skill.\r\n

Minimum Qualifications

Must have three (3) years of advanced administrative experience which\r\ndemonstrates full knowledge of organizational functions such as payroll,\r\nbudgeting, personnel action forms, purchasing and supporting upper-level\r\nmanagement. A technical certification in Office Administration or closely\r\nrelated area may substitute for one year of experience. Advanced training in office administrative or\r\nclosely related area is preferred at this level.\r\nNOTE: Two (2)\r\nyears' experience as a Sr. Administrative Assistant will qualify for this\r\nposition.\r\nNOTE:\r\nQualifying education, training and experience that provide the requisite\r\nknowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job will be considered.\r\n
