Job description

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Marketing team in executing various marketing tasks and initiatives for Athena Property Management's marketed shopping centers. The Marketing Coordinator will handle supportive tasks to ensure smooth operations and contribute to the success of the marketing team. This role focuses on interacting with online communities, assisting with content and campaigns, supporting influencer partnerships, and helping the marketing team stay organized. This is a hands-on, entry-level position with opportunities to gain experience across digital marketing, events, and community partnerships. Occasional evening and weekend availability is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Social Media & Engagement
  • Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and reviews across multiple social media accounts
  • Engage with followers and local community pages to increase visibility and interaction
  • Assist in scheduling and publishing social media content
  • Track basic engagement metrics and flag trends or opportunities
  • Content Support
  • Assist in creating social media content, including captions, graphics, and short-form video
  • Support email marketing campaigns and content creation
  • Help gather content from tenants, events, and properties
  • Influencer Coordination
  • Research and identify relevant local influencers for shopping centers and tenants
  • Assist with outreach and coordination of influencer partnerships
  • Track influencer campaigns to ensure posts, stories, and deliverables are completed on time
  • Maintain organized records of influencer activity and performance
  • Community & Event Support
  • Assist with outreach to local businesses, organizations, and community partners
  • Support planning and execution of onsite events, including occasional evenings and weekends
  • Capture content during events for social media use
  • Administrative Support
  • Maintain marketing calendars, files, and shared documents
  • Assist with tracking deadlines and team projects
  • Help manage shared marketing inboxes and route inquiries appropriately
  • Website & Listings Support
  • Assist with updating property websites and promotions
  • Help maintain Google Business listings and respond to reviews.

Qualifications

  • Experience in marketing, social media, or related field
  • Strong interest in social media and digital marketing
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok
  • Experience with AI, Canva or other basic design tools is a plus
  • Comfortable working in a team environment and taking direction
  • Reliable transportation preferred
