ESPN Cleveland Marketing Consultant (Account Executive)

ESPN Cleveland is looking for our next high-performing Marketing Consultant to join one of Cleveland’s leading sports media brands. You’ll help local, regional and national brands connect with passionate Cleveland sports fans through customized marketing partnerships across ESPN Cleveland audio, digital content, social media and live events.

As a Marketing Consultant, you’ll build relationships with advertising partners, understand their business goals and develop creative solutions that leverage the power of ESPN Cleveland. You’ll bring together the right ideas and assets to create meaningful partnerships that help our partners grow their businesses.

Career responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities with local, regional and national brands and decision-makers.
  • Build, grow and maintain strong partner relationships focused on achieving their business and marketing objectives.
  • Understand each partner’s goals and challenges and develop customized marketing solutions across ESPN Cleveland audio, digital content, social media and live events.
  • Collaborate with ESPN Cleveland’s Digital Marketing Consultants to develop integrated solutions that help partners achieve their business goals.
  • Ask thoughtful questions to uncover additional partnership opportunities across Good Karma Sports and connect partners with the right teammates and solutions.
  • Communicate and collaborate with sales support teammates to effectively manage partner relationships, campaign execution and follow-through.
  • Develop a strong understanding of ESPN Cleveland’s audiences, content and marketing assets and connect those opportunities to partner needs.
  • Proactively manage new business activity, leads, opportunities and partner follow-through through our internal CRM.
  • Stay current on sports marketing, media and emerging industry trends.
  • Integrate AI tools into daily workflows to improve new business outreach, partner research, campaign development, communication and sales effectiveness while maintaining a high level of personalization and partner interaction.
  • Other assigned tasks.

Preferred knowledge, skills and qualifications

  • Previous sales, business development or marketing experience and a passion for sales and service.

  • Strong network and relationships within the Cleveland business community, or the ability to develop them.

Hours/Salary/Benefits

This is an exempt role with a competitive base salary plus commission. This role is eligible for full benefits including health, dental and vision insurance, Life Insurance, STD, LTD, 401(k) Plan, Dependent Care, paid parental leave, and more, with opportunities for salary growth based on increased skills and responsibilities and meeting targeted goals. The position will be required to work some evenings and weekends based on station events, promotions, and community activities.
