About the Role
We're looking for an Entry-Level Junior Database Administrator (DBA) to join our Managed Services team. This is a great opportunity for someone with a recent degree in Computer Science or a related field who wants to start a career in data and technology. You'll learn from experienced DBAs, participate in real-world client work, and develop your skills in a highly supportive fully remote environment. This role will work 11:30pm EST to 8:30am EST.
What You'll Do
Client Support & Troubleshooting
  • Respond to client support tickets, prioritizing based on urgency
  • Troubleshoot database issues and communicate clearly with both clients and internal team members
  • Document resolutions in our ticketing system and track time spent on tasks

Database Administration
  • Assist with installing, configuring, and patching Microsoft SQL Server
  • Help perform regular backups and restores
  • Monitor databases and perform proactive maintenance
  • Support disaster recovery and high availability features
  • Update and maintain internal documentation
  • Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions and team learning activities
What We're Looking For
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Data Management, Information Systems, or comparable Certifications for Microsoft Data Fundamentals and Database Administrations, or related technical field.
Experience & Skills:

  • Familiarity with various relational databases through coursework, internships, or projects
  • Understanding of relational databases and SQL fundamentals
