Job description

We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to analyze complex datasets, build predictive models, and deliver actionable insights that support strategic decision-making. If you love extracting trends from structured and unstructured data, engineering scalable data pipelines, and driving innovation through machine learning, we want to hear from you!

Position Overview

  • Location: Raleigh, NC 27601 (Strictly Local to North Carolina Only)
  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid
  • Interview Process: Webcam or In-Person Interview

Key Skills & Requirements (What We Are Looking For)

To excel in this position, your background must include strong experience across these core areas:

  • Modeling & Machine Learning: Strong experience in predictive modeling, machine learning algorithms, statistical analysis, and data mining.
  • Core Programming Stack: High proficiency with Python, R, and SQL, alongside modern data manipulation and feature engineering libraries.
  • Data Preparation: Proven ability to clean, validate, and preprocess complex structured and unstructured datasets.
  • Data Visualization: Experience building intuitive dashboards, reports, and KPI tracking systems using tools like Power BI or Tableau.
  • Mandatory Background: State Government or Public Sector experience is REQUIRED for this role.

Preferred (Bonus Points)

  • Familiarity with cloud-based analytics environments and big data platforms.
  • Experience with automated data engineering workflows and pipeline architectures.
  • Knowledge of model governance, model drift tracking, and continuous optimization.

Main Responsibilities
