Job description

We are seeking an Entry-Level Environmental Technician / Construction Materials Testing Technician to perform soil testing, concrete testing, asphalt testing, and field inspections on active construction projects. This role is ideal for individuals interested in civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, construction management, quality control, and construction materials testing (CMT). Paid training is provided, and certifications such as ACI and NICET are supported through company-sponsored development programs.

Responsibilities

  • Support field operations related to construction materials testing across a variety of project sites.
  • Travel from site to site to perform testing on soils and concrete in accordance with established procedures and standards.
  • Conduct construction materials testing activities, including work with concrete, asphalt, and other materials as needed.
  • Use field testing equipment, such as nuclear gauges, to evaluate material properties and document results accurately.
  • Follow safety-first practices at all times, adhering to company and site-specific safety protocols.
  • Work closely with experienced professionals across multiple disciplines to learn proper testing methods and industry standards.
  • Maintain clear, accurate records of tests performed and communicate findings to project teams as required.
  • Demonstrate a strong interest in field work and a willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
