Responsibilities:
  • Provides application/control systems design and development for systems of varied complexity
  • Develops and evaluates alternative system solutions that meet stated requirements
  • Modifies program/system logic involving multiple systems and subsystems
  • Develops proficiency in several programming languages and control device networks for PLCs, PCs, or DCS systems
  • Interacts with customers to gain an understanding of the business environment
  • Defines scope, plans, and deliverables for assigned work

Requirements

Entry-Level Engineer Requirements:
  • A minimum of a BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering from an accredited college/university with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. On the job experience and past success in the Engineering, Manufacturing, or other technical industry could be considered in lieu of a degree.?
  • 6 months of engineering Co-op or relevant technical work experience and/or M.S. degree and relevant school project experience is required.

Skills
  • Technical aptitude for learning system design and development tools and techniques
  • Must be capable of operating computers and learning computer-based design and development techniques
  • Ability to exemplify EOSYS®'s Core Values

Experience in ANY of the following is preferred, but is not required:
  • Food and Beverage or Dairy industry experience
  • Process control design, development and troubleshooting experience and familiarity with field instrumentation
  • PLC programming (Rockwell ControlLogix)
  • Networking experience, including Ethernet/IP, ControlNet, and DeviceNet
  • MS SQL Server experience, including normalized table design and stored procedure development
  • HMI design and development experience, including PLC communications, tag configuration, logical screen development, historization, and alarming (Wonderware InTouch and System Platform)
  • Experience in one or more programming or HMI Scripting Languages (VB, VB, VBA, VB.NET, C##-)
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks, have excellent attention to detail, and be willing and able to learn new technologies quickly

  • Walking/working in mezzanine (screen guard) area (20 - 25 ft. high, wire mesh floor)

  • Work in wash-down locations with wet/slippery floors

Work Schedule
  • Ability to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Must be able to travel and work extended hours
