Engineer I (Entry-Level)
Overview
We are seeking an entry-level Engineer I to support the design and construction of power-related systems. This role will apply foundational engineering principles, design standards, and software tools to contribute to project development, estimation, and execution.
The ideal candidate is motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to grow their technical expertise while collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
  • Apply engineering processes, design criteria, and approved software tools to develop system designs
  • Support the preparation of project estimates, design alternatives, and construction specifications
  • Assist in developing construction packages, including drawings and supporting documentation
  • Coordinate with internal teams involved in planning, design, construction, operations, and maintenance
  • Provide oversight and quality assurance reviews for contractor-developed designs, estimates, and deliverables
  • Ensure adherence to established engineering standards, design practices, and work processes
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of system design standards and criteria
  • Assist with material take-offs and project cost estimation
  • Transmit construction packages and support specifications to appropriate stakeholders
  • Provide day-to-day support to construction and maintenance teams
Safety & Compliance
  • Promote and maintain a safety-first work environment
  • Follow all safety guidelines, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and internal engineering practices
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (from an accredited institution)

  • Experience walking down, marking up, and updating mechanical drawings (including P&IDs)
