Job description

As a condition of employment all employees must pass a post offer criminal history background check, physical examination and drug screen. All employees must also submit proof of identity and employment eligibility.
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for performing entry-level clerical work for the Municipal Court, to include work involving routine and standardized methods and procedures as it pertains to ticket entry, scanning and filing; responding to municipal court email correspondence; receiving/processing payments via mail, in-person, and online; and relaying information to customers regarding driver's license status as well as other general municipal court information via phone or in person. General office duties to include copying, faxing, printing, and answering phones. Perform other duties of a similar nature or level as needed.
Qualifications:
Graduation from high school or GED. General clerical experience, to include cashier, computer, and customer service experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as listed above. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Additionally, the following knowledge and skills are necessary for this position:
Knowledge of:
  • Basic customer service skills.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Basic data entry skills
  • Modern office practices and procedures.

Skills:
  • Understanding and following oral and written instructions.
  • Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.

Physical Requirements:
Typically include: Reaching, fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
Salary Range:
$19.46/hr.
