Job description

We are looking for a Buyer to join our fast-moving, world-class organization in Camarillo, CA.ย  We design, manufacture and supply high performance servo drives and motor controllers. From complete PWM servo control to custom servo solutions, AMC provides brushed and brushless motor drives all designed using our advancements in digital servo technology and seasoned analog servo expertise. Our products are used in a vast array of industries, ranging from Manufacturing, to Entertainment, to Robotics, to Homeland Security and Defense, to Medical Healthcare and many more.ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย 
We are ITAR registered. Hired candidate must be US Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident.
Required Education:
  • Minimum:ย  High school graduate/GED. ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย 
  • Preferred: College and or APICS CPM.
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3-years electronics purchasing experience within the last 5 years, including electronic components (examples: BGAs, Fets, power devices, transformers, etc), PCBs and metal fabrication.
  • Proven negotiating and supplier management skills.
  • Analytical skills in understanding what to buy, when to buy, and quantity to buy, etc.
  • Previous work experience with consignment programs preferred.
  • Knowledge of MRP software.
  • Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook skills.
  • Work under moderate supervision.
  • Effective written and verbal communication.
  • Physical requirements: Will occasionally/frequently: stand, walk, sit, use both hands, and carry/lift/push/pull to 25 lbs.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following company policies and procedures.
  • This is a full-time position located at our Camarillo facility, Monday through Friday 8a to 5p, with additional hours as required.

Required Job Responsibilities:
  • Hired candidate will purchase, expedite, negotiate, analyze requirements, work with engineering on possible part alternates, provide open order reports to suppliers, validate supplier open orders to ensure our system matches (quantity, due dates, price, etc), work on MRB to request RMAs from suppliers, subcontract/outsource POโ€™s, work with accounting on discrepancies, etc.
