Job description
We're seeking a highly motivated Junior EDI Data Integration Engineer to support the operational functionality of our EDI/B2B systems, including Sterling Integrator. This entry-level role provides an opportunity for individuals to gain hands-on experience in the dynamic field of data integration and system maintenance. You'll work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to learn and contribute to key operational and support activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance forEDI/B2B data exchange systems in line with the Master Services Agreement(MSA)
- Assist in onboarding and transition services fornew clients, partners, and environments
- Help maintain and update key documentation suchas:
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Onboarding and Offboarding Tracker
- Operational, Incident, Change, and GovernanceReports
- Weekly Status Reports and Metrics Reports
- Monthly Dashboards, RCA, and Outage Reports
- Monitor incident and service requests andescalate to senior engineers when necessary
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving systemincidents within SLAs
- Participate in software release cycles, includingcoordinating testing and validating changes
- Conduct proactive system maintenance, includingpatching and configuration updates
- Collaborate with the wider team to analyze anddocument system requirements and processes
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams toresolve escalated incidents
- Support the tracking of incidents and contributeto reporting activities
Requirements
What You Bring:
- Education:Bachelor's degree (or in progress) in Computer Science, InformationSystems, Engineering, or related field
- Experience:Basic exposure to EDI/B2B systems and integration tools (preferably IBMSterling Integrator or similar platforms)
- Skills:
- Understanding of EDI formats (e.g., X12,EDIFACT), protocols (FTP, SFTP, HTTP), and integration systems
- Familiarity with ticketing systems, incidentmanagement, and change control processes
- Strong attention to detail and willingness tolearn
- Strong communication skills, both written andverbal
- Team-oriented with the ability to collaborateacross departments
- Preferred:Familiarity with cloud platforms, XSD, database management, or integrationtools is a plus
