Job Title: Medical Assembler
Client: Medical Device Manufacturing Company
Duration: 6 Months
Location: Grand Rapids, MI 49504
Shift: 2nd Shift (2:30 PM – 10:30 PM, Monday–Friday)
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and inspect medical devices in a clean room environment.
- Perform production assembly of electronic and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
- Package finished products and operate assembly equipment.
- Follow visual aids, diagrams, process flow sheets, and assembly instructions.
- Use hand tools, power tools, jigs, and other assembly equipment.
- Perform continuity checks and quality inspections on work-in-process and finished products.
- Rework, modify, test, and reassemble prototype or production assemblies when required.
- Operate manufacturing equipment while following standard operating procedures.
- Work with solvents as part of the manufacturing process.
- Support shipping, receiving, inventory, and product storage activities as needed.
- Report equipment issues or production abnormalities to supervisors.
- Work overtime, including occasional Saturdays, as required.
Required Skills:
- Medical device assembly or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a clean room environment.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal work instructions.
- Experience using hand and power tools.
- Basic quality inspection skills.
- Ability to perform repetitive assembly tasks with accuracy.
- Good communication skills.
- Basic computer skills preferred.
- Ability to work independently under close supervision.
