Staffing Inc. is partnered with a great market-leading company in the manufacturing of articulated drives for vehicle and mechanical engineering in South Haven, MI who is looking for a sharp Laborer/Assembly candidate. Successful candidates will Operate machinery such as: Hydraulic Presses, Stamping Machines, Etching Machines, Manual Lathe, Mill, and use of computer. Team members are also able to rotate through all tasks in the assembly process and contribute towards the common goal of completing production orders on time with 100% accuracy and safety. Attention to detail is very important in this role.

Laborer/Assembly Responsibilities:
  • Checking previously pulled components for accuracy and quality (right type and part number). Observe condition of part (rust, dirt, down rollers in bearings, etc.). Inform supervisor/QA of any discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with other employees working in assembly, or on the same job.
  • Per pre-defined work instructions, assembly part and/or pre-assembled components by using easy to use tools and connection techniques.
  • Repair or replace damaged or defective parts and report irreparable damage.
  • Per control work instructions, check the functionality, quality parameters and completion of the work performed.
  • Document the results and report quantity.
  • Recognize possible damage or defects on the finished product.
  • Knowledge of how to use manual lathe
  • Knowledge of how to use a Mill
  • Knows Metric System
  • Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.
  • Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety. Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards.
