Inside Sales/Order Entry (IT.TE.DI)
Ingersoll Cutting Tools is one of the world’s leading suppliers of metal cutting tooling systems and an integral member of the IMC Group of Companies, a distinguished corporate holding of Berkshire Hathaway, with over 130 subsidiaries in 60 countries around the world. Ingersoll’s US operations are housed on our state-of-the-art manufacturing and marketing campus in Rockford, Illinois. We are currently accepting applications for an Inside Sales/Order Entry (IT.TE.DI) position.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Include:
  • Respond to internal and external customer inquiries in a timely, professional, and courteous manner.
  • Manage a high volume of customer correspondence, including intake and response to up to 125 emails per day.
  • Maintain and update e-Catalog items to ensure product information is accurate and current.
  • Provide customers with product pricing, availability, and related information; prepare quotes as needed.
  • Handle a high volume of incoming telephone calls, including up to 50 calls per day, while providing excellent customer service.
  • Follow up on delivery information, order status, and customer requests, including processing expedite requests.
  • Answer inquiries regarding products and services and assist customers in identifying appropriate solutions.
Skills/Qualifications:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer service focus.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage a high volume of emails, phone calls, and customer requests.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when entering orders, preparing quotes, maintaining product information, and communicating pricing and availability.
  • Ability to effectively multitask, work under time-sensitive conditions, and consistently meet customer expectations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and the ability to learn and navigate company-specific computer systems, e-Catalogs, and order-entry software.
  • Ability to understand product information and communicate technical or product-related information clearly to customers and internal personnel.
  • Previous experience in inside sales, customer service, order entry, or a manufacturing/industrial environment is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to follow through on customer requests from initial inquiry through resolution.
Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to work well independently, as well as with others, in a team environment. Candidates should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, possess a good work ethic, demonstrate reliable and punctual work habits, demonstrate safety consciousness, and always conduct themselves in a professional manner.
The Salary range for this position is $18-22/Hr.
