Job description

Jump into a hands-on role building your HVAC skills while helping keep systems running smoothly.

Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems across hospital and facility environments. This entry-level role provides hands-on training in refrigeration, electrical troubleshooting, and mechanical systems while supporting experienced technicians.
Work Arrangement - On-site
DEPARTMENTAL PREFERENCES
  • Trade training preferred
  • Basic mechanical or HVAC knowledge
  • Ability to use hand and power tools
  • Basic computer skills (work orders, Microsoft Office)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Training - Work requires an educational background normally equivalent to high school with course work in skilled craft or trades training.
Experience - Work requires 2 years' experience in charging small refrigeration appliances, changing compressors, belts and valves, and adjusting and calibrating temperature and humidity controls.
OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE.
Position also requires a valid driver's license with clean driving record.

  • Perform basic HVAC maintenance and repairs (filters, belts, coils, motors, etc.)
  • Assist with troubleshooting refrigeration, electrical, and control systems
  • Use meters and gauges to check voltage, amps, and system pressures

  • Work from ladders, rooftops, and mechanical spaces
  • Complete work orders, documentation, and parts ordering using computer systems
