Project Controls Specialist I (PCS-I) is a position under close supervision that is responsible for aspects of project control assignments as defined by the hiring Business Unit.

The position is responsible for performing specific and limited portions of project control assignments using prescribed methods and tools.

This is an entry level position that requires understanding and application of basic project controls principles and associated project controls software and tools.

PCS-I's may be exposed to more complex aspects of project controls including estimating, scheduling, project change management, and cost control for orientation and training purposes.

Additional Preferred Qualifications


Proficiency: Software including MS Project, Primavera, Financial Related Software, MS Office Suite, Power BI, Project or Portfolio Management software platforms.
Demonstrated acumen in communication and presentation.

Working Conditions


To be determined by hiring organization (in person, hybrid, or remote)

Specific Requirements


Duke Energy internship or co-op experience.

Proficiency: Knowledge of project management or project controls concepts. Skill in scheduling or financial management tools or software.
