JOB SUMMARY
In this role, you will prepare layouts and detailed 2D drawings for components, sub-assemblies, and assemblies associated with aircraft interior furnishings. You will work from CATIA models, engineering specifications, sketches, and verbal direction to produce clear, accurate drawing packages that support manufacturing and engineering operations.

SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES

  • Preparing detailed drawing packages for components, sub-assemblies, and assemblies
  • Creating drawing notes, bills of material, and related documentation
  • Using CATIA primarily for 2D drafting, with occasional use of AutoCAD
  • Following company drafting standards and engineering practices
  • Verifying quantities, materials, dimensions, and drawing notes for accuracy
  • Revising drawings as needed and preparing associated Engineering Change Notices (ECNs)
  • Working on multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining quality and timeliness
  • Supporting additional projects and duties as assigned based on business needs

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS - Education, Knowledge, and Experience
Education:
  • A High School Diploma is desired.
  • A two-year college (associate degree) or Trade/Technical School is desired.

Experience:
  • Open to both entry-level and experienced candidates.

Skills:
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes such as: Composite forming
    • CNC machining
    • Stampings
    • Sheet metal forming
    • Thermoforming
  • Working knowledge of:
    • CATIA
    • AutoCAD
    • WindChill PLM
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to interpret engineering specifications, sketches, and verbal instructions.
