Geotechnical/Environmental Driller’s Helper

Location: Tulsa, OK
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected Hours: 40 – 60 per week


Job Summary:

AIMRIGHT Testing and Engineering is seeking a Geotechnical/Environmental Driller’s Helper to join our Tulsa, OK team. This full-time role involves subsurface exploration, sample collection, and drilling support for projects throughout Oklahoma and other states.

We are hiring for both entry-level and experienced positions. No experience is required—we provide full training. If you enjoy working outdoors, performing hands-on tasks, and are looking for career growth opportunities, this role is for you!

What You’ll Do:
  • Assist the Lead Driller in mobilizing and operating drilling rigs.
  • Support geotechnical and environmental subsurface exploration by collecting soil and water samples and logging boreholes.
  • Handle drill tooling and materials while maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Work with various drilling methods, including Auger Drilling, Mud Rotary, Rock Coring, Air Rotary/Hammer, and Casing Advancer techniques.
  • Perform physical labor, such as stacking drill pipes, shoveling drill cuttings, and lifting heavy equipment.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on assigned equipment and vehicles under the guidance of the Driller/Mechanic.
  • Follow safety procedures and regulations (OSHA and AIMRIGHT’s Health & Safety plan).
  • Wear and maintain Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Assist in building and yard maintenance as needed.

What We’re Looking For:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable DMV record.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs repetitively.
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, lift, and walk for long periods.
  • Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, or dry).
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
  • Interest in learning drilling operations and field techniques.
Preferred Qualifications:

Diesel mechanic skills are a plus.
Commercial Class A CDL license is a plus.
