Jr. Billing Analyst

Location: Beltsville, MD • Type: Full Time • Min. Experience: Entry Level • Salary Range: $55,000-65,000 USD per year

Advanced Technology and Research Corporation (ATRC) is seeking to fill the following permanent position. ATR is an equal-opportunity engineering company of 100-150 employees with a decades-long reputation in various engineering specialties for the US Department of Defense, other federal agencies and commercial sector customers.

Salary for the position is competitive and according to qualifications. Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly government contract invoices.
  • Verify posted expense reports for accuracy and policy/contract compliances.
  • Monitor A/R aging reports and follow up with customers for collections.
  • Contribute to the monthly and fiscal year end closing activities.
  • Provide administrative support for billings and accounting accordingly.

This role works closely with contracts, accounting, project managers, and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely billing and revenue recognition.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Assist with invoicing, including necessary invoicing schedules and back‑up data, in Deltek Costpoint for government and commercial customers in compliance with contractual requirements for all contract types (CPFF, FFP and T&M).
  • Assist with timely submission of invoices to the Government/Prime contracts via various electronic billing systems in compliance with contract specific submission requirements.
  • Review aged receivables reports and work with management to address outstanding receivable invoices.
  • Process deposits & enter receipts into the system.
  • Assist with reconciliation of unbilled A/R balances.
  • Support accounts receivable and other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience Requirements
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
  • Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as:
    • Deltek Costpoint (Preferred)
    • Unanet
    • SAP, etc.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organized, and ability to meet timely deadlines.
  • Multi‑task ability and ability to work independently and with a team.
