Job description

PURPOSE:
Serves as a member of the Data Entry Specialist Team who ensures the accurate and timely collection and maintenance of computerized client information in accordance with Federal, State and Community Based Care regulation and requirements. May serve as back up administrative support.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for the collection, verification, accurate and timely entry of all client information into the required DCF data system. This includes the entry of all client information from intake (Case Transfer and Non ESI Staffing), to each change that occurs such as placement, case manager assignments, adoption information and closing client records to services, throughout the life of a case in accordance with Community Based Care procedures.
• Responsible for analyzing information entered in the DCF required data system by Child Protective Investigations.
• Responsible for analyzing information submitted by Case Management and Placement prior to entering into the DCF required data system.
• Responsible for maintaining foster care providers services.
• Responsible for adding/maintaining adoption providers and services.
• Responsible for adding/maintaining out of home providers and services.
• Responsible for training new Data Entry Specialist staff.
• Actively participates in efforts to automate Community Based Care operations to increase efficiency and accuracy, performing testing and data verification, and providing input as new systems come on-line.
• Responsible for attending trainings, workshops and meetings to keep the Data Entry Specialist Team within Federal and State compliance.
• Supports the project's QA function, QA data needs, and deadlines for reports and monitoring's as they pertain to the Data Entry Specialist Team.
• Other duties as assigned.
